Mrs. Deandra Tart
"Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world." ~ Nelson Mandela
A little about me:
I am incredibly passionate about education. I consider myself a life-long student and my favorite thing to do is to see a new place or learn something new. I graduated from South Johnston High School in 2001 and went on earn my Bachelor of Science degree from Campbell University. In 2013, I graduated from NC State with a Masters degree in Education, focusing on curriculum and instruction. I have an awesome husband (Scott) and we have two children, but they have four paws--Maggie and Winston. I absolutely love to travel, especially with students!
Welcome to Johnston County Career and Technical Leadership Academy!
I am so pleased to be working with each of you. If you need to contact me, please feel free to do so. I can be reached at 919-300-2239 or by email at email@example.com.

Dear CTLA Students and Parents, Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, and all the changes and hardships that have come with it, JCC has made the decision to waive all Activity and CAPS fees for high school students for the Fall 2020 semester. This means that ALL high school dual-enrolled students will be eligible for a ONE-TIME FALL 2020 WAIVER of Activity and CAPS fees. Technology fees and course-specific fees will still apply and will be billed accordingly. Please contact the JCC Cashiers Office for additional information at 919-209-2165. Thank you.
Every JCPS parent must fill out the Second Semester Choice form to choose either the Virtual Program OR face-to-face instruction for each of their students. The Second Semester Choice form is to be filled out for ALL students in grades PreK-12. If a child is going to participate in face-to-face instruction for the second semester, the parent will be asked to fill out transportation information for the student in the form. A form for each student should be completed by Nov. 30.
Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
