My name is Shane Benson and I am excited to be a Dynamic Dolphin at South Smithfield Elementary School!  I am a native of Smithfield and I graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School.  I live in Four Oaks along with my beautiful wife, JoEllen.  She is a math teacher at Smithfield-Selma High School.  We have four children: Sam, David, Samuel and Allison.  I have been an educator in Johnston County for 22 years.  I love my job and I look forward to coming to school every day.  Thank you for trusting me with your child!
