Mrs. Snegosky

Hi, my name is Kristina Snegosky. I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I moved to North Carolina 3 years ago from the Washington D.C. area. Moving here has been a welcome change and a breath of fresh air. My husband and I have been together forever I think (something like 23 years but that makes me sound old). We have 3 sons, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 peafowl, and a couple coops of chickens. Our oldest son Gavin is 19, Nathan is our middle child and will be turning 16 this year, and our youngest guy Xander is 7. He is here at West Clayton in 1st grade.

This is my second year at West Clayton. I came here from West View Elementary where I taught 2nd grade. When I came to West Clayton I taught 5th grade. That was a lot of fun and a challange I enjoyed. Now, I am thrilled to be back teaching 2nd grade again. I truly feel like I have come home. We have been doing many interesting and exciting projects in class so far and there are many more to come this year!

I believe that students are more successful when teachers and families collaborate. I love giving updates and hearing from families. Please reach out to me if you have questions or just want to share. I can be reached through the class Dojo or email.

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
