      Chase Ferrell is humble. So humble, in fact, that when asked how he felt about being named Johnston County Public Schools Auxiliary and Administrative Services Employee of the Year he said, “There are a ton of great people that we work with that could have easily been named.”

    • School Nutrition supervisors shine bright at conference

      JCPS School Nutrition Services took home top honors in several categories at the School Nutrition Association of North Carolina's State Conference, held June 20-23 in Greensboro.

    • Cleveland High graduate receives Sam Narron Award

      Cleveland High class of 2022 graduate Skyler Locklear was recently awarded the prestigious Sam Narron Baseball Award. The award celebrates a Johnston County high school senior baseball player who demonstrated a love for the game through determination, dedication, and sacrifice.

    • Melissa Waring turns a new page at Corinth-Holders Elementary

      Sitting at the northern point of Johnston County lies a magical place. It isn’t the tobacco farms or the strawberry fields that create that feeling of wonder and amazement.  It’s the media center at Corinth-Holders Elementary School (CHES), specifically, Media Specialist Melissa Waring. Voted by her peers, she was recently named Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS) 2022 Media Specialist of the Year.

    • JCPS Summer Hours

      Johnston County Public Schools will be moving to summer office hours on June 13. School and district offices will operate on a four-day work week.  Offices will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays. The summer schedule will continue until August 11. All offices will be closed on July 4.

    • 2022 Growth Needs Update

      Johnston County Public Schools Chief of Facilities and Construction Brooks Moore presented the 2022 Growth Needs Update to the Johnston County Board of Education at their March meeting.
