    • The Human Body Project

      7th grade science students created models representing major systems of the human body working in homeostatis. Students were able to demonstrate their knowledge of organs, organ systems, and lifestyle choices in order to maintain a healthy body!

    • It's a Mystery!

      Sixth grade English Language Arts classes had a spooky October at CvMS. Teachers had students write mysteries to meet narrative writing standards. Several students volunteered to read their stories aloud for peers to enjoy. Following the read-alouds, all students were allowed to cast a vote for their favorite mystery. Two mystery story winners were selected from each ELA class. The winners read their mysteries on October 31st in the media center at the annual Mystery Reading Event for sixth grade.

    • Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Super Star Teacher

      Congrats to Mrs. Ricapito, AVID Teacher at Cleveland Middle, for being recognized as the Greater Chamber of Commerce Super Star Teacher! She does an outstanding job for all of her students, and we are so proud of her accomplishment!

    • Student Artwork Displayed in Oncology Department

      Some of the walls at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield are sure to make the patients smile a little brighter! The Oncology Department is adorned with beautiful, uplifitng artwork for patients through the end of November. Thanks to CvMS Art teacher, Carrie Brickhouse, CvMS students worked hard on creating bright, colorful, and happy watercolor paintings of flowers for chemo and blood tranfusion patients to view as they walk the area. Names of students who had their artwork featured in the display: 6th: Jillian Price, Laura "Riley" Thompson, Johnathan Jhakry 7th: Anna Sullivan, Jamison Sawyer, Carly Weeks, Ryan Ennis 8th: Sage Farmer, Carter Clever, Olivia Walker, Kaylee Ayscue, Amanda Formisano
