The program for Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) in the Johnston County Schools ensures a rigorous academic curriculum within a safe, nurturing environment that empowers students to become innovative learners, creative problem solvers and powerful communicators, who will be responsible, contributing citizens in a global community.

Advanced Curricula

Advanced Content/Curriculum - These programs of study focus on complex thinking strategies and problem solving, provide opportunities to analyze materials and situations, and encourage habits of hard work.
These instructional programs, which are researched-based and have been developed by the College of William & Mary and the University of Connecticut include:

• Jacob's Ladder - a supplemental reading comprehension program
• Navigator Novel Study Guides
• Project M3 Math
• William & Mary Advanced Language Arts
