Big Congrats to CvHS CHoral Department
Congratulations to the Cleveland High School Choral Department for an Award winning day at Music In the Parks-Carowinds Choral Festival. Our 48 voice Mixed Ensemble achieved a SUPERIOR rating placing 2nd in Mixed Ensemble Category. Congratulations to our Ram Singers Intermediate Choir for achieving a Superior and a 1st Place in the Mixed Ensemble. A special medal for Solo Performance was awarded to Jacob Kanarek for Outstanding Solo Performance during the Mixed Ensemble Choir adjudication. Singing Rams are Cleveland Proud!!!!

CvHS JROTC Service Learning Project: Oak City Cares
The CVHS JROTC "Ram Battalion" hosted a service learning project collecting items for the homelessness shelter Oak City Cares. The picture below shows the senior cadets who facilitated the project, (pictured left to right) Michael Carter, Nestor Ojedamoya, Jesus Casillas, Brayan Oviedo Baca, and Bishop Davis standing next to the development assistant for Oak City Cares Casey Slock. Over 40 kits including bar soap, lotion, deodorant, laundry pods, and other items were raised by cadets in the battalion.

CvHS FCCLA Representing at the State Leadership Conference
he Cleveland High School FCCLA represented at the State Leadership Conference with all 12 students who competed and were in the top 5 finalists for the state for their category. The following students qualified to compete in the upcoming National FCCLA conference in July that will be held this summer in Denver Colorado and are as follows: 1st place Gia Escamilla for Promote and Pubcilize FCCLA, 1st place for Entrepreneurship Tigist Siler, and 2nd Place Lacy Morris for Job Interview.

Miss FCCLA 2023
Miss Rian Davis was crowned the first Miss FCCLA at Cleveland High School on March 7, 2023. In order to compete, each candidate had to be an active member of FCCLA and complete several hours of community service and exemplified outstanding leadership in the school and community.

Read Across America Fun
March is National Reading Month, and the CvHS Library Club collaborated with Polenta Elementary and Cleveland Elementary to celebrate Read Across America 2023. The high school students visited these schools to read aloud to various elementary classrooms. They had a great time!
