WHAT'S GOING ON IN SPELLING:

(PLEASE NOTE:  THE YELLOW SPELLING GROUP HAS MOVED INTO GREEN SPELLING WORD LISTS BUT THEIR TEST WILL STILL BE ON WEDNESDAY.)

Our class will be using Words Their Way spelling program. At the beginning of the year, students will be given a diagnostic spelling test.  After the students have taken their test, they will be placed into three different spelling groups which will help with their spelling level. 

Unlike the Friday weekly spelling test, students will be given 7 days to study, turn in spelling homework, and take their test.  The following shows the schedule of students spelling:

Students will practice throughout the 7 days sorting their words and working on their spelling contract at home and at school.  Students who have forgotten their words may go to the following website and use their username and password.  Then click on their color and sort number for the week:

Spelling Contract information will be found in Homework folder.  The contract is due on spelling test day.  If Spelling City activities are used as part of the contract, a parent note is needed stating this (or print off the activity).
